Meals On a Mission

Going green at lunchtime is easy with this superbly sustainable lunch kit! ECOlunchbox's slogan is "Green Lunches = Blue Waters." Did you know plastic debris threatens our oceans and marine life? We believe that by reducing our dependence on plastics (perhaps at lunchtime) we can improve our own health as well as that of our planet!

Instructions for Use

  • Splash Box ~ The lid is designed to be easy to open for all ages, with tabs on all corners featuring non-slip nubby grips. To open, lift the tabs and the seal will release to allow easy removal of the lid. To close the lid for 100% leak-proof performance, use the flat of your hand or your thumb and press the silicone lid seal down onto the rolled edge of the lunchbox until secure.
  • Lunchpod ~ Damp foods, such as cut fruits, thick sauces, hummus, etc. are appropriate for this container, but very wet foods will leak. Its pressure fitting stainless steel lid is not 100% leak-proof, because no plastic is used.
  • Bamboo Spork ~ Hand wash with hot soapy water and towel dry.

The Lunch Kit In Action

Kit contents are made with the following materials ~ food-grade stainless steel, non-plastic silicone, sustainably produced bamboo, and organic cotton.

Founded as a triple-bottom-line social enterprise in 2009, ECOlunchbox was born of the idea that change can begin at lunchtime. Founder Sandra Harris wanted to make a difference in how she packed her family’s lunches ~ to cut out the plastic and do the right thing for human health as well as Mother Earth. It seemed like a pretty simple concept: design a food container out of something plastic-free and make it available to friends, family and in stores.

This small family-run business is proud to share that their ECOlunchbox products have averted the use of millions of pieces of plastic! It makes Sandra happy to know that her products have empowered people to say goodbye to plastic at lunchtime, and that by providing products as tools to help people green their habits she's also opened their thinking to moving beyond plastic in other parts of their lives as well.
