Handcrafted Square Blade Garden Hoe
$ 58.00
This elegant handmade gardening hoe from Fisher Blacksmithing is a slight modification on the classic hand hoe. Built with a squared-off head so that it can be easily re-sharpened, making it a great choice for garden beds that need a little extra attention. This is our go-to tool if we have stubborn weeds starting to invade the beds. The curve of the tool creates a wonderful balance point that allows its own weight to work with the gardener.
Features
Consciously Crafted
Each tool is crafted using traditional blacksmithing tools and techniques, resulting in incredibly unique heirloom-quality gardening tools. The hand-forged metal is consciously set into an American black walnut wood handle, making each tool extremely durable with added heft in the garden. The weight and strength of the tools support increased capability when working with all varieties of soil, and the turned handle provides additional support and comfort while handling.
These time-tested and sustainably produced tools not only leave a minimal footprint on the earth during creation and use, they promote a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle by encouraging local gardening and growing.
Tuli Fisher began studying traditional tool making in various settings in 1999, but in 2003 his passion for blacksmithing was rekindled. After helping a local community-supported farmer repair his tools and make even better ones, Tuli decided to create his own line of timelessly beautiful garden tools in his Bozeman, Montana backyard. Since then, Tuli’s handmade tools have been recognized in major media publications such as ELLE Décor, Sunset Magazine, and Forbes Life, to name a few.

He’s a member of the British Artist Blacksmith Association as well as the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America.
