Dr. Mary Shackelton, MPH, ND

Dr. Shackelton is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor in private practice for 15 years. She runs Holistica Integrative Care, an integrative medical practice where she specializes in Women’s Health and the treatment of disorders related to toxicity. In 2001 she co-founded Insulite Laboratories, a company committed to the treatment of insulin resistance. Currently Mary is writing a book on detoxification, is an Organic Twist partner, and blogs on Day-to-Day Detox and HolisticaCare.com.

Dr. Shackelton also completed post-graduate training in natural women’s medicine at the Institute of Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine in Portland Oregon. In addition to her advisory position with True Goods, Mary is a frequent contributor for NDNR (Naturopathic Doctors News and Reviews) and lectures locally on a variety of topics related to Women’s Health. Prior to practicing medicine, she earned a Masters in Public Health from San Diego State University and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of California at Riverside. An avid runner, telemark skier, mountain biker, gardener, and yogi for over 20 years, Mary lives with her husband and three children in Boulder, CO.

Dr. Debby Hamilton, MD, MSPH

Dr. Hamilton is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Physician Nutrition Specialist and founder of Holistic Pediatric Consulting in Boulder, CO. She also serves as the Medical Director for Proactive Wellness of the Rockies and as a strategic advisor for True Goods. While a substantial part of her practice focuses on treatment of children with chronic health and neurological issues like Autism and ADHD, she also works with parents and women considering pregnancy via workshops and consultations.

A frequent guest speaker for health-focused radio shows and several integrative medical conferences, she is also author of the new book, Preventing Autism & ADHD: Controlling Risk Factors Before, During and After Pregnancy.” Dr. Hamilton brings her specialized experience to the True Goods team, assisting the company in maintaining the highest standards of product safety and effectiveness and sharing valuable education and resources with True Goods customers to help them make informed shopping and healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Alexander Shikhman, MD, PhD

Dr. Shikhman is the Founder of the Institute for Specialized Medicine, the nation’s first clinic of integrative rheumatology offering a holistic approach to healthcare by evaluating the total body to get to the root of the problem. He is also author of the book “Gluten Nation: The Alarming Role That Gluten Plays in Arthritis, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Cancer, Diabetes and Other Ailments.”

Gluten-free himself, Dr. Shikhman specializes in the connection between gluten and autoimmune diseases. He also launched a line of all natural gluten-free supplements, Gluten-Free Remedies™, which help treat complications arising from celiac disease. In addition to his advisory position with True Goods, Dr. Shikhman serves as contributing author and advisory board member of Simply Gluten Free magazine, member of the editorial board of Future Rheumatology/International Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, and member of the Board of Trustees at National University.
