Made from certified organic bamboo, these tongs are handshaped, sanded and cleaned, then burnished and finished to a satiny feel with a light food-safe oil. Bambu doesn't use typical toxic shiny lacquer coating like many other brands, instead preferring a safe and natural finish to their tools.
Some other fun features of bamboo? It doesn't impart or absorb flavors and won't scratch cooking surfaces. Also, it doesn't take on as much heat as traditional metal options.
