rareEARTH was founded in 2011 by Sherri Jobelius and Brian Paulsen, both highly experienced and passionate about working with pure essential oils for use in aromatherapy and natural fragrances. With over forty-years combined knowledge between them, they were able to create products that are uncompromising in their standards for purity and sustainability. Using natural ingredients is far more complicated and costly than the path most candle and fragrance companies use, but they chose never make a product that they wouldn’t use themselves in their own homes.
rareEARTH has become unique in the candle and home fragrance industry for its commitment to using not only pure essential oil fragrances free of harmful, irritating petrochemicals, but also completely natural mineral pigments added by candle artists to color their products. All candles are made with lead-free cotton wicks and clean burning, soot-free 100% pure soy wax, sourced from domestic farms and free of petroleum.
rareEARTH follows the same sustainability principles in choosing their packaging components and materials, using recycled glass and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved papers and paperboard. rareEARTH never conducts animal testing, and all products are made in their Minneapolis based headquarters, which affords them complete control over the purity and quality of their products. At rareEARTH, their passion for ‘natural’ extends to every ingredient, which leads to the finest, purest and most beautiful candles you can find – anywhere on earth.
