That said, it's important to sweat and release toxins. Most deodorants and antiperspirants not only keep the toxins in by preventing you from sweating, they're also designed to absorb into the skin. And what are you absorbing? Oftentimes it's aluminum and parabens, just a few of the harmful chemicals linked to hormone disruption and cancer.
Application
- Hold the open stick directly on your pit for a few seconds to allow your natutral body heat to soften up the paste. This ensures a smoother, more consistent application. 2 or 3 swipes with the stick on each pit should work great.
- Because the organic nature of coconut oil is to melt at certain temperatures it can become liquid when exposed to extreme heat. All it takes is a quick pop in the fridge or freezer to firm back up to paste consistency to remain that way in your bathroom cabinet.

Converting to Natural
While some people may have detox reactions or a sensitivity to baking soda, we believe most people can work through it. Here are some quick tips:
- Irritation ~ Baking soda can be a skin irritant to some, and while most people can work through it everyone’s body chemistry is different. If it's just not working out for you, or in case of severe reaction, discontinue use.
- Shaving ~ Usually if burning occurs it's associated with the salt-like nature of baking soda. Our suggestion is to shave at night and apply Pit Paste in the morning. It can eventually go away as your body acclimates to the pH balancing as you wean off traditional antiperspirants and deodorants.
- Pit Detox ~ After years of wearing conventional chemical and aluminum-laden deodorants, it's possible to need to detox your pits from toxic build-up.
