Join the #TakeBackThanksgiving movement!
Remember last year? Day after Thanksgiving, alarms blaring at 4:30 am...the madness of Black Friday had begun! You rolled out of bed, bleary-eyed and cranky (not to mention a bit hung from all that holiday cheer the night before). Nonetheless, you manage to wrangle the kids into the car and head over to Best Buy to shiver in line and snag that deep discount.
Was it worth it? Not even a little.
Today, my #TakeBackThanksgiving tip involves a whole lot of warmth and mighty fine memories to make and reminisce about fondly for years to come.
Tip #3 ~ Sleep In and Snuggle
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let’s take the time to cherish what’s truly important. I'll tell you this ~ that ‘must have’ piece of electronic equipment is going to be outdated in six months or less, guaranteed. But those lazy morning memories made with your loved ones ~ those will last a lifetime.
So sleep in, bring your sweetheart a coffee in bed, and make chocolate chip pancakes for the kids... There are so many heartwarmingly superior ways to start your day than fighting tooth-and-nail for a cheapo DVD player.

During this entire week of thanks I'll be posting tips and ideas for ways you and your loved ones can Take Back Thanksgiving this year. Rather than spending money on cheap goods from deep discounters over the holiday weekend, perhaps you'd prefer spending time with the people you care about most, doing things that bring you closer together.
